The 2024 election is too important to sit out... so please give a listen to Steven's new ballad entitled “Rally to the Dream." If the music sounds familiar, it’s because the tune is actually a song he previously released entitled “Undone” on his “Heartland” CD. He has written new lyrics and changed the arrangement a bit to make it current in support of voting Democratic this election cycle.

"The Witch of the Reeds" is set along the Mississippi River and the Coulee/Driftless Region of West Central Wisconsin/Southeastern Minnesota where piers and docks sometimes vanish in the morning mist, the reeds grow thick in backwater bays, and darkness comes early to the bluff lands and valleys cut deep by the upper Mississippi River.

"There could be no better title for this CD. His guitar work is extraordinary; embracing the sad whimsy of a Nick Drake and the creative fury of a Leo Kottke. It is a perfect CD for anyone who enjoys great guitar and great stories."
Ken Onstad, President - New Folk Records
"The Road is more than just a well-recorded album. It speaks because it offers a glimpse into those gritty places in life most of us know well, offered through storytelling that is heartfelt and vulnerable."
